Youth work never stops

It May be Sunday and it May be a Bank Holiday weekend (May - see what I did there?) but youth work never stops. András, our Senior Advisor @ DEIS UK, was in London this weekend. Today, on his last day here, we managed to squeeze in a few hours to chit-chat.

We talked about funding, projects, networks of organisations, support groups, spaces, and much more. It was so helpful and exciting! But I will talk more about each point as they start materialising. And they will be materialising.

Also, today I figured out what I want to do for my MA dissertation. The answer has been in front of my eyes this whole time. YOUTH ENGAGEMENT. UK vs RO. Face-2-Face vs Digital. Post-pandemic engagement - how-to guide. There’s so much. Those 12.000 words won’t be enough, but I can do part of it for the dissertation and then expand.

All of this thanks to a very productive conversation at the right place (@artFix, of course), at the right time, and with the right people. Thank you, András, it’s been great!
