Writing on International Writers' Day

The same way a book is a book, regardless of its format, writing is writing whether it's prose, poetry, or an ethnographic report.

This year, International Writers' Day finds me starting to work on an ethnographic report which needs to begin with a vignette. A vignette is basically creative nonfiction - I'm telling a real story in a way that will make readers interested in my text.

So, happy Writers' Day to all those who write prose, poetry, plays, reports, funding bids, essays, articles, statuses - anything! We're all writers in some way!
