When you read on the bus and...
...the book simply breaks your heart and you just wanna scream. But you’re in a bus full of people, so you just feel your stomach tightened and a lump is forming in your throat.
Every time I open this book I become Iris. I feel what she feels, I see what she sees, I think what she thinks. The way it’s written makes you feel that you are part of her, that you are her. It’s a perfect stream of consciousness, without being tiresome. I have a few more pages left. It’s going to be one of the books that leave me feeling empty.
I’m so absorbed that I sometimes forget I’m reading it to write about it, but that’s not a problem. I already got all I needed from it and a lot more. If you want to read an awesome book about being a young adult - Amber Medland, ‘Wild Pets’. I love it!
