What else could I be doing?

Remotely I’m involved with DEIS, with Baia Mare and its bid for European Youth Capital #play2023, tomorrow morning I’ll be in a consultation for Romania’s Youth Strategy and later in an online show, Urban Context, discussing student life in the UK. I’m also involved in the UK thanks to the not-for-profit I work at.

I don’t even want to know how not getting involved would feel like. My life would be absolutely empty. Not even boring, just empty. I love feeling tired at the end of the day, laying down with a good book and a cup of tea. Of course, I like taking time for myself and having lazy days from time to time. But often, for me, it’s just as relaxing to be tired because you feel that you’ve done something, you’ve helped someone and you’ve made the world a slightly better place.

That is why I want to be a full-time youth worker (I already am, in a way). What else could I be doing? For me, nothing is more fulfilling than being involved.
