Walking in a Winter Wonderland

It’s been snowing since yesterday and it’s starting to settle. After my Fictions seminar, I decided to take a walk through the Winter Wonderland because we were totally out of bread. I was imagining a nice, calming walk, listening to music and enjoying the tiny snowflakes.

That did not happen. Under the snow, on the pavement, there is a thin layer of ice. What I was hoping to be a calm walk turned out to be an adrenaline ride. The fact that we live on top of a hill was not helpful either. Anyway, I got to Tesco and back home alive and well.

I don’t think I will be leaving the house until the snow and ice melt. Winter is wonderful from the window.
