Today’s an online day

Today’s an online day. When I woke up, I went straight to my laptop to help a friend who’ll be coming to London this autumn apply for accommodation at uni. Then I started putting information together for a project. Then I had a meeting. Then I worked on projects some more. Then I ran a couple of job interviews. Then I worked on projects again. Now I’m writing this. And the day’s not over yet.

The biggest thing today is happening at 8 PM. There’s this new social media platform called Clubhouse. Maurice is a huge fan and so Collab will be hosting a networking room today. It’s our first time on this platform and it’s quite exciting. And a bit nerve-wracking because I haven’t spent a lot of time on Clubhouse yet so I’m still learning to navigate it.

So far I have to tell you that, despite my first impressions, I don’t dislike Clubhouse at all. It is an awesome place to build connections and discover people. I have to spend more time on it, but I don’t exclude the idea that it could become another one of my regular online presences. And this would be thanks to Maurice.
