Today I went to therapy!

For years I've been telling myself (and others) that I don't need nor want therapy. Luckily I don't have any major traumas, so I always thought that I'd rather not waste someone's time with my non-problems. The closest I got to reaching out for professional help was talking to youth workers.

It was only recently that I started thinking that maybe it's not okay that I am so disconnected from my body that I forget to take care of it. It's not okay to constantly question my achievements and look for negative feedback. It's not okay to constantly do something. And it's okay not to be okay.

This is why I signed up for 6 free therapy sessions offered by an organisation called Creators House. Today I had a test session - a chat with my therapist to assess the situation and start planning. Turns out, I've got enough things to explore in therapy and a lot to learn from this experience. You know, even a great childhood and overall life experience may leave you with little insecurities or unhealthy habits. Let's see how this goes!
