Today I decided to get my nails done

No, not at home. I actually booked an appointment with a proper salon after looking at my nails this morning and thinking ‘damn it, I should get my nails done for my birthday and I can’t be bothered…’. I don’t usually make same-day appointments, but I guess I was feeling adventurous today.

Doing my nails at home is always annoying - I never get the shape right and my polish always chips within 24 hours. So, I looked up a few salons, read the reviews, and I picked one that was a bus ride away, looked super clean and professional, and was the same price as everywhere else. I was not disappointed at all. I finally have a nice shape like never before and gel polish is supposed to stay on for about two weeks, minimum.

Will I ever do this again? Most likely, yes! I wouldn’t do it regularly, but I’ll definitely do it again before going to Romania in September.
