The shoes were on the bus again

This has been quite a… travel week. Two face to face meetings and a shopping session. I missed buses and public transport in general. Maybe that’s why I want to place my short story in the DLR - because I miss it.

It’s fascinating how many options you have if you want to travel around London, but it’s just as fascinating to see how everything freezes when something happens. There was a fire at Blackwall Tunnel today so the time (or traffic) just stopped for everyone in Woolwich. Everyone who wanted to cross the Thames by car had to take the ferry. Hundreds or maybe thousands of cars. You can imagine the chaos.

For someone coming from a town the size of a London borough, this is simply incredible.
