The miracles of tech

Transitioning from English Lit to Anthropology doesn’t seem too complicated so far. While one of them discusses written texts in a specific context, the other one discusses people in a specific context. In layman's terms. What is a bit challenging, however, is getting used to the jargon and the fancy words.

Reading or researching stuff for English Lit, I understood most of the jargon, and if I didn’t, I could probably skip it. Now, (still) going through ‘Gramsci’s Common Sense’, I am starting to meet up with words like jurisprudence or physiocrat. They feel like keywords and I want to look them up, but I’d hate closing the book, opening my phone, typing… So, I just say ‘Okay, Google!’.

I’m just mesmerised by the miracles of our modern technology. What am I, one of the Jetsons or something?
