The book I read on public transport - written by my Uncle

Writing seems to run in the family, especially on my Mum’s side. I can’t wait for the day she’ll start writing, but until then, her brother, my Uncle, wrote his first book. It’s not published yet, but I really hope he will decide to do it.

‘Life and Turmoil’ is a historical young adult novel, taking place in 19th century Romania (Baia Mare, our hometown, to be more specific). It has some gothic and fantasy elements plus a bit of romance. The balance between all these different bits is so good! To be honest, the whole plot and writing is so good that I often forget that it’s not a professionally edited and officially published book.

Because I only have this in digital format, I decided to read mostly when I’m on the go. And somehow, 97% of my journeys are perfectly in sync with the chapters.
