Some exam prep

Unlike most days, today is cloudy and somewhat rainy in London. I didn’t feel too productive today so I decided to do some exam prep, which is still productive but I don’t really need motivation for reading.

There was this one play that I didn’t read, but that I want to write about in the exam - ‘ear for eye’ by debbie tucker green (nope, the title and her name are not capitalised). It talks about racial injustice by presenting different situations from the US or UK as examples. The last part is filmed and it shows people reading from the Jim Crow laws (state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States until 1965) and the slave, British (Jamaican), and French codes.

Usually, we have to write about two plays so I’m ready to use this and ‘The Fear and Misery of the Third Reich’ by Bertolt Brecht, which talks about Europe, nazi Germany, presenting (again) different examples.
