Reading in the shade, by the planty-plants

I absolutely love it when the time of year in a book I read matches with the actual time of year I'm reading in. "Cujo" takes place in late-June and early-July during "the hottest summer in thrity years". Sounds familiar?

I found a very cool spot in the bedroom, under the windowsill where most of the plants are. There's not a lot of direct sunlight here in the afternoon and with the window open it's absolutely perfect. It's a bit crammed - I'm between the bed and the wall - but in this weather I don't mind the sacrifice. Also, I get to spend some time close to the plants and something tells me they enjoy that.
