Reading about writing (and Romania)
With 10 days left before my next voyage to Romania and less than two weeks before my first face to face creative writing workshop, I decided to focus my reading on writing. If you look at my Goodreads, I’m currently reading this book by Cristina Nemerovschi, and Stephen King’s memoir, ‘On Writing’.
By the by, I finished another book yesterday and didn’t get to post anything about it, but a full review will be coming soon.
I’ve had this book for a while now - ‘What do we do with Romania?’ - but I just didn’t feel like reading it, I guess. Now I really started missing the author (who’s one of my favourites) and I thought that the timing was just right. It is! She talks about her characters, but also about herself as a writer, her writing habits, her motive etc., all of which are things that have been on my mind too. It’s a cloudy day, so this book feels like a cosy hug. Perfect.
