New year, new folder

Since I started using Google Drive as my main place to store whatever I’m working on, I started being a lot more organised with my folders and what goes where. Right now I have a bunch of folders inside a bunch of other folders. So, a new year means a new folder for all the 365 Adventures of the Muddy Shoes I am going to write in 2021.

I find this new folder so satisfying. And (leaving all modesty behind) I find the concept of my daily Muddy Shoes posts so satisfying. I never know what I’ll write about tomorrow or two days later or this time next year. I know it’s not really the best thing for the social media algorithm and my audience because I don’t post at the same time every day, but I’m trying to keep it honest and if my day is boring I’ll post at 2 pm or whatever and if my day is full and exciting I’ll post late at night.

But the most important thing about my Muddy Shoes is that it makes me stay on the lookout for something to write about every single day. Now I have a new folder called 2021, with only one document called #Adventures of the Muddy Shoes 2021 1. How will I fill this folder? What will happen? We’ll see.
