Nature’s got a Sepia filter on today

The three elderly ladies I overheard yesterday on the bus were right. It is raining today. Luckily I had only online meetings today so I did not have to leave the house, and now that I’m done with work for the day I can just get on with reading. I have early spring on my bookmark at least.

Nature’s got a Sepia filter on today. I think it was quite sunny behind all these dark clouds and that’s why the world looked slightly orange/yellow/brown. Like a Sepia filter. I couldn’t capture it in this pic, but you gotta believe me.

By the by, Jo Hamya’s ‘Three Rooms’ (the book I’m reading now) is quite interesting. Not necessarily my favourite style, but the writing is really good. I will be pairing it with Caleb Azumah Nelson’s ‘Open Water’ to talk about this sort of lyricism, talking about simple and relatable topics, but making it all feel so beautiful with your technique. Literary theory. I can’t read anything without relating back to it.

Follow me for more snippets of theory inserted into texts about the weather and life updates. 😉
