London at its finest

London welcomed me at its finest yesterday. Sunny, but not too warm. Reasonably priced & delicious street food. Nice art. Extraordinary public transport. A beautiful walk to Liverpool Street station. If London were a person, I would’ve hugged London yesterday. And I’m not a hugger.

We went to the final year degree show from J’s uni, Westminster. But it wasn’t just Westminster, there were loads of other universities whose students were exhibiting there. I’m not a big connoisseur of visual arts, but some of the projects looked really nice and got me thinking. The best idea I got from there was… a colourful dystopia. You know that usually everything that’s dystopian and especially postapocalyptic is portrayed in dark tones - grey, brown, yellow. What if I wrote a postapocalyptic piece that uses super vibrant colours? I’m not sure how to do it in writing yet. It might be a collaborative project with pictures or illustrations. But it did get me thinking…
