Let the King/Spooky Season begin!

October is here and that can only mean horror stories and Stephen King plus other scary stuff. Today I started… * drumroll please * … Stephen King’s ‘Rose Madder’.

I’m only a few pages in, but it’s going to be an intense experience if it stays this way. Also, I’ve been reading loads of scary urban legends in the last few days. I’m really glad I got Jan Harold Brunvand’s book - it has loads of explanations and really good introductions to each type of urban legend. Reading ‘Rose Madder’ from an urban legend perspective would be quite interesting. After all, urban legends are just popular horror tales.
