Let’s recap

I’m going to my hometown for a week in December. It’s going to be a busy week, but I’m going to love it. There are two awesome „youth work-y” things happening while I’m in town and I’ll reveal the second one once we start the promo for it (so not yet). The other thing is an Active Bystander Training session run by me.

As you know, I’ve started co-facilitating these with Goldsmiths Students’ Union. The workshop covers a few intervention strategies but also things that en/dis-courage us to get involved when we see something that isn’t right. We’re talking about what to do when you witness bullying and harassment (especially since we’re during the 16 days of activism against sexual violence), but also less commonly recognised forms of abuse.

I’ll be facilitating a workshop at the Baia Mare Youth Centre and I’ve also been contacted by a private school to do a session for their pupils. I’m super excited.
