Let’s get back into writing

My writing routine went down the drain as soon as I submitted my 6000-word sample in April. In mid-May, when I got to turn off autopilot mode, I realised that I was spending so much energy on the things that I was required to do, that I had nothing left for the things I needed and wanted to do for myself.

Re-balancing my life is a work in progress. Until then, I’m slowly taking steps to get back into writing. My uncle gifted me a year-long ProWritingAid licence - an editing software for fiction. So today I went down to artFix to work on Arkon1. I did other bits of work as well, but I could finally take some time to reconnect with my book. I read through it, checked my ‘calendar’ (it’s a sort of plot outline but in calendar form) and played around with ProWriting, learning how to use it. No actual writing happened today, but the plan is to get some done over the weekend.
