It's time for my brain to turn into mush

I was feeling annoyed today. Nothing happened to annoy me, I was just feeling… unbalanced. So, I asked myself ‘What’s going on, Bea?’. I didn’t get an answer instantly, but I did get an answer as I was looking out the window of the bus, on my way home. It’s Spring. My brain is turning into mush. Nature awakens → my brain goes to sleep. It all makes sense now.

I also realised that this might have been the reason I disliked Spring for so long. The lack of focus that comes with Springtime Asthenia was getting in the way of my productivity. Now that I discovered this, I can finally make peace with Spring. Fascinating what you might learn if you just listen to your inner self.

Fun fact: Checking if Springtime Asthenia was a term in the English language, I discovered that it’s actually a form of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). So the same way people get blue and moody around Christmas, I get moody in the Spring. Interesting!
