Exactly 1500 words

Today I wrote EXACTLY 1500 words. I don’t know how it happened. This is exciting for two reasons:

1. It’s a perfectly round number.

2. I didn’t think I wrote that much. If I keep it up and take a few hours every other day, I can actually see the end of this novel. As advised by Stephen King via his memoir, DON’T WAIT FOR THE MUSE!

Until now, I think that my main problem was the formatting of my book. When I wrote my 6000 words, I just wrote them with minor visual cues, and then got back to format them as tweets and screenshots and whatever else is there. To be honest, the more I was trying to organise my writing, the less writing I was actually doing. I’m back to just using a calendar for keeping track of time-sensitive points and a notebook for ideas.

Today’s lesson: don’t let anyone tell you how to do your work. Try out different things, and figure out what works for you.

P.S. Why do I have a mug with my face on it, you ask? I don't have an explanation. Ask V.
