Driving around with our cool flyers

Literally. I drove today! In London! It was totally unexpected and I was too excited to take a #MuddyShoes pic, but Maurice was quick on his feet and he took a pic of me driving! THANK YOU!

We are running the Alternative Career Programme (formerly known as the FIFA Project) in Lambeth. Today Maurice and I set out to drop off flyers in schools, youth & community centres - organisations where young people can find out about us.

Now, in my 2 years in Collab, I think that I mentioned quite a few times how much I love driving and how much I miss it. So, out of nowhere, Maurice asks me if I want to drive. Of course, I said yes. It was really fun. I was a bit too close to the left side of the road and I was extremely confused about how to use my indicators in a roundabout, but I managed.

Our project kicks off on the 30th. I can’t wait to see it all happening and to get involved, working with young people, delivering sessions, coaching & mentoring. That’s what I love doing! I love youth work as much as I love reading and writing, which is even more than I love driving.
