Deisy’s Lockdown Experience
I was supposed to write about my life in this “pandemic” as they call it, but as I was too busy sleeping, eating and making the world a better place with my presence, I decided to have one of my humans to do it for me.
Yes, you read it right - “one” of my humans. I generally have many humans, you see. I used to live at the Youth Center in Baia Mare. Every afternoon, my many humans would come there to love me. As they are young, they would sometimes forget why they come and lose themselves in useless activities such as socializing, playing instruments or doing homework, but I love them anyway. When they were too much, I always had the silence of the office (though the human writing this was always in my sleeping chair), or the yard where I played with my *ahem* friends - the pigeons.
And then, all of a sudden, I was alone. Well, I still got a visitor or so a day, but I still didn’t understand. After a few days alone, and a few days with one of my humans, I was moved to where I am now. There are two humans living with me now. They do a pretty good job feeding me, though the one who used to give me treats, doesn’t do it anymore. The word “fat” was mentioned a few times as a reason. No idea why. It’s not like they are doing great in that perspective, either.
There are a few things I don’t get, though.
1. I can’t go outside anymore, no matter how much I demand it by the door. My humans don’t really do it that much either. No wonder we’re all getting fat.
2. My humans seem to still be grumpy at 6 a.m. when I’m doing my morning exercise. I mean… hellooooo! At least one of us should try and stay fit in this house.
But, it’s not all bad. I got a new scratching pole (the human not giving me treats anymore made it for me as a peace offering, I believe). Also, I have discovered the magic of running and sleeping under blankets. Seriously, you should all try it.
Other than that, I hope I will soon get back to conquering young souls (even the so-called 'dog people') at the Youth Centre and hunt… I mean befriending pigeons outside. I have heard it depends on humans staying inside, so for the love of cats, please do that! I love my two humans but their love is not enough for a cat like me.
Yes, my humans have tried this online thing and they made these meetings with the human writing this (forgot to invite me, but I forgave them and made an appearance anyway). Turns out they can’t pet me online so I got terribly bored.
Anyway, my human is hungry so I will allow her to stop writing this and go feed herself. And phew, this was exhausting! I think I’ll go check that blanket now.
Stay inside, humans! And love thy cats!
