Closer and closer to DEIS UK
This is exciting and a little scary, but just a little. Jeanine and I started talking about this in the summer of 2018, before the NonFormal Festival. 3 years ago. And now it’s coming true.
Today we had our first ‘help and feedback from our friends’ meeting. We went to Canary Wharf to talk with Dani Orza - a very close friend of DEIS (Ro), knows ‘how to’ documents, and the best solutions for stuff like emails, virtual addresses etc. Apparently, paperwork is not as scary as I thought it was. I just didn’t understand it. But, luckily, the gov’s website is as useful as it seems and it’s all pretty straightforward, especially when you have someone explaining to you what’s going on.
Walking among the giant buildings and actually going inside one was quite an experience. Two artists - me, the writer, and Jeanine, the photographer - who want to start a youth not-for-profit on a background of skyscrapers (are those really skyscrapers?) and corporations.
