Chill(ing) airplane read

Do you remember me saying that I'd probably take something chill to read on the plane, especially after two especially heavy reads? Well, I asked V to pick something for me and this was his choice. Honestly, I find horror to be relaxing, so it'll be fun. Spooky season is coming right up, anyway.

I was doing some research on M.R. James and found out that he's basically the Victorian version of Stephen King. King also talks about James in "Danse Macabre" (which I finally found yesterday for a good price and immediately ordered). I'm intrigued.
