Another FULL day

Pfuf… This was another full day. And tomorrow I have a meeting in the morning and then my creative writing workshop in the afternoon. But let’s take days one at a time and let me tell you about today today and I’ll tell you about tomorrow tomorrow.

I was a speaker at a conference today - Youth in an Urban Context by DEIS. This was the first time I was an ‘official’ speaker at such an event. I’ve been a guest on tv/online shows, I’ve had tiny interventions during events and I’ve hosted concerts, workshops and world cafes, but this was the first time I was a speaker. THESE are the opportunities that we, young people, need. We need to be supported out of our comfort zone (not forcefully taken out of it) and we need to be placed into contexts in which we can experiment and grow. I’m a young person living in London, I’m involved with organizations here and I am always on the lookout for new opportunities to grow. But, I have never found anything better than Baia Mare offers me. This is why I want to put Baia Mare in an international context and this is why I really hope with all my heart and soul that Baia Mare will become European Youth Capital in 2023.
