Always good to see my oldest friends
Finally, my world has returned to normal. My young people come by almost every day. I get to sleep on their homework and sleep… I mean, study with them once again. I missed this so much. And now the young people are much more numerous than ever before! The Big Humans never told me how cume, but it must have something to do with me and my irresistible cuteness.
As much as I love my new friends, it’s always so good to see my oldest friends. Bea, over here, was the first young person I’ve ever worked with as a Youth Worker Cat. Back then, she was just a teenager. Now she’s a Youth Worker Human herself. However, I’m just as happy to nap next to her while she’s typing something on her laptop or reading. I’m convinced she enjoys it too. Except when I try to lay on her keyboard. Humans seem to have an issue with that.
Indeed, times have changed. My young people need more love than one cat can give. I think this would be too much responsibility even for a dog. I heard them talking about the so-called ‘pandemic’ and how it affected their mental health. I remember how strange it was for me too - I wrote about it on Bea’s blog with help from my second-best Human, Bibi (the first-best is Ionuț, ‘if you know, you know’, as my youngsters say). I must admit, I think we need more Youth Worker Humans around here… and maybe a larger Youth Centre with more trained Youth Worker Cats. I can be their leader for the small price of one extra sachet of cat food every day!
