Always fun despite the rain

It was quite rainy earlier today. It was the perfect time to nap, especially as my friends were busy/not at home. But then (while it was still raining) B came to sit on the sofa with me and we got to reading. This is a super thick book, but B is an excellent reader and she’s already read half of it!

The cover says The HELEN OYEYEMI Icarus Girl. I do not know what it means. B says it’s the title and author. Which is which, I wonder? It is about one girl and another girl that isn’t real. It is a bit scary. Not for a brave doggo like me! Not for B either! But I think some people would find it scary. Some people are scared of me, so… Anyway, B was also telling me that it was written by a young girl when she was about 18 and published at 21. She says young, but that is like centuries in dog years…

The sun is out now and I think we’ll be going out for a walk. I feel that very specific getting-ready-to-go-out-with-Emma energy coming from B. I can’t wait to see what we’ll be exploring today!
