(Almost) Exam time

Tomorrow is a big day. At 9.30 am, the first exam of my second year of uni will be made public. That’s not why it’s a big day, but this is also happening tomorrow so let me tell you about it.

Once I get this exam (for Fictions in Context), I have one week to write a 1500-words essay. In the first year, I didn’t really know how to prepare and I had to use one or two of the seven days for research. Now, older and therefore wiser, I already chose the novel I will write about - Tom McCarthy’s ‘Remainder’ - and did my research yesterday. After this week, I’ll get the other exam (for Poetry & Drama in Context) for which I’ll have to write two 1000-word essays. I chose the poems & plays, but haven’t done much research yet. I don’t have too much space for that in 1000 words anyway.

Last year I had guests talking about the pandemic. I thought I won’t have time to write. But I would have had more than enough. So this year you’re coming with me on this journey.
