About meetings and Caribbean food

I always liked getting involved in meetings, especially with people from the exterior. I remember how much I loved being part of the ‘grown-up conversations’ and dreaming of the day when I’ll be speaking, not only listening. Then, as a volunteer I also sometimes took part in brainstorming meetings, which, again, I loved. Now, as the General Manager at Collab I am going all around Lewisham with Maurice to meet possible partners, talk about our projects etc. I am part of the ‘grown-up conversations’ and, more than that, I am part of the ‘business conversations’ which are even more interesting.

I had this revelation on my way home after the meeting Maurice and I had this morning with another organization. Bea-the-Child must be really proud of me.

Apart from all this engagement which I find extremely rewarding and exciting, I also got to taste another Caribbean food today. The chicken patty. I have to admit that I really like these foods. I would definitely not starve if I were to visit these places.

But now I’m wondering what foods could I make to give Maurice an idea of Romanian cuisine. He ‘doesn’t eat anything that has a face’, so no meat, no fish, which makes it a little challenging. So, any thoughts?
