A Polite Rain

I wanted to tell you about the rain (and sleet)

that fell today in London;

and the wind that’s still howling through the half-open window.

Mother (and the Government) wanted to tell us to stay inside

but of course, some didn’t listen;

so they had to make sure we won’t even try to leave our house today.

Helios wanted to tell me (and you) he felt sorry

for the inconvenience;

however, it couldn’t stay long and he hid politely behind a cloud.
