A lot happened today

It’s been A DAY today and it’s not even over yet, so I will tell you the number one highlight. We’re done planning #reconnect UK. I’m already working on a funding application and hopefully, we will apply early next week (or even later this week, we’ll see!).

#reconnect is a DEIS project. Its story goes back to the time before the pandemic when it was simply called Connections or Summer Connections, but now it’s been rebranded. DEIS Ro is already running it with funding from the European Solidarity Corps and it’s focused on music, dance, and drama, plus managing social anxiety. The UK edition will have music, creative writing, and photography. Most importantly, Music in the Streets London will be part of it. Fingers crossed.

The team is also growing, but that is something we should probably put on the DEIS UK social media. We need to get back to posting there. But until then, it’s time to put my fundraiser shoes on and get writing. Applications don’t write themselves. Sad, I know.
