The 5th of December is International Volunteer Day and also in Romanian tradition, tonight Saint Nicholas will visit you and brings symbolic gifts if you were nice or a stick if you were naughty. I love the fact that as a kid I always got gifts, but also a stick - a good balance, I’d say.
Just like a kid snooping around for gifts, Sherlock is the protagonist in today’s Christmas story. Festive Detection!

Before TV series, there were serialised novels and short stories published in newspapers. And just as TV series must often have Christmas specials, The Strand Magazine published this in January 1892. Not much to say, just another Sherlock Holmes story. Short and fun. And Christmasy.
