27. Comic (by the Writer about herself and the comic Creator)

It is almost time to wrap things up for #inktober2020 so here are some non-fictional thoughts for today. I don’t think I want to make full sentences - here are some ‘bullet points’ for you.

- Short stories work perfectly with comics - they simply complement each other and with their combined powers you can reveal so many things that would otherwise stay hidden.

- It isn’t easy to write 31 short stories and it isn’t easy to do 31 drawings. You sometimes run out of ideas, your brain/hands don’t cooperate, the quality doesn’t always meet your expectations. Sometimes you just want to break down and give up in front of a prompt. But that’s why it’s better to work in a team - when one falls, the other one picks you up.

- Ari and I are two artists who are not scared of presenting reality as it really is - painful, happy, depressing, wholesome. Art is here to put reality in front of you. Of course, fiction is a world of exaggeration, but real life is often just like that.
