Mary’s Diary, Exile, Day 2
Yesterday I decided that postponing the return to a somewhat regular routine would only affect my wellbeing and therefore I emerged from my comfortable sanctum under the sofa. I quickly found a tabouret* near the human table which is now my throne. The humans are quite well-raised and they endeavour to not disturb me, which of course they are unsuccessful, but at least they are aware of my authority.
I was, however, rather disappointed in the text presented to me today. The title suggests a mighty chat** but it appears to be about a polar bear. As if we were not the monarchs of this planet. Disappointing.

This was so fun to read! It's a very short story with a very good ending. Moral of the story: get a polar bear. Or a cat, a cat will do the trick too. (I value my life and with Mary by my side I’m not taking any chances).
